RAISE Hope for Congo at Columbia University

Location: 1501, International Affairs Building, Columbia University. 

 
Speakers:
• John Prendergast, co-founder of the Enough Project
• Major General Patrick Cammaert, Former Division Commander of MONUC
• Roger Luhiriri, 2008 Human Rights Advocate with the Institute for the Study of Human Rights and former fistula doctor at Panzi Hospital in DRC 
• Lisa Jackson, director of the film The Greatest Silence about rape in the Congo 
 
There will also be an exhibit of student photos taken while in DRC. The photos will be auctioned off in a silent auction during the event to raise funds for Panzi Hospital in DRC.
 
Finally, a reception will immediately follow the event, providing an opportunity for students to mingle with panelists and other attendees.
 
Raise Hope for Congo is being organized by the Human Rights Working Group with the Humanitarian Affairs Working Group and the UN Studies Program Working Group, in partnership with The Enough Project.
