Enough is a project of the Center for American Progress to end genocide and crimes against humanity. Founded in 2007, Enough focuses primarily on crises in Sudan, South Sudan, eastern Congo, and areas of Africa affected by the Lord’s Resistance Army. The Enough Project’s strategy papers and briefings provide sharp field analysis and targeted policy recommendations based on a strategy of promoting durable peace, providing civilian protection, and supporting accountability for perpetrators of atrocities. Enough works with concerned citizens, advocates, and policymakers to prevent, mitigate, and resolve these crises by both raising awareness domestically and pressuring lawmakers and policymakers.
Special Assistant to Enough Project Co-Founder John Prendergast — Washington, DC
The Enough Project, a project of the Center for American Progress, seeks a candidate for Special Assistant to Co-Founder John Prendergast. The Special Assistant will primarily assist with administrative tasks and logistical support for Mr. Prendergast, along with other departmental duties. This position requires administrative and clerical experience.
Responsibilities:
- Provide clerical, logistical, and operational support, primarily to the co-founder.
- Coordinate travel, including booking itineraries and overseeing day-to-day logistics, for co-founder, who frequently travels domestically and internationally.
- Process check requests, reimbursements, and travel authorizations.
- Coordinate with other staff within Enough and other departments within the Center for American Progress to achieve needs of Enough and its co-founder.
- Schedule departmental meetings and manage the co-founder’s calendar.
- Conduct research in support of the co-founder’s work.
- Work alongside co-founder to manage relationships with prominent celebrities in support of Enough.
- Strategize with the co-founder on outreach tactics and support co-founder's involvement in substantive projects.
- Ensure smooth functioning of office systems and provide general office support.
- Maintain comprehensive list of co-founder’s donor outreach efforts androvide logistical support with development/donor issues.

Director of Development - Washington, DC
Enough, a project of the Center for American Progress, has an immediate opening for an experienced Director of Development.
Enough is looking for a Director of Development who is highly motivated by a strong commitment to the vision and mission of the Project. The ideal candidate will have strong prior experience in promoting human rights and fund development.
In partnership with the Executive Director, other members of the management team, a Development Advisory Committee and the development staff of the Center for American Progress, the Development Director will articulate and execute the development strategy and goals of the Enough Project. This individual will be responsible for coordinating outreach with current and potential donors and foundations, identifying prospective new donors, and preparing all funding proposals and grant reports in close coordination with Enough management and program staff.
Responsibilities:
- Work with Enough leadership team, including the Executive Director, the Project co-Founder and other senior management to develop and implement a multi-year fundraising strategy that includes major donors, special events, foundation and corporate giving, and other activities to raise the organization’s annual operating budget
- In consultation with the leadership team, recruit and convene a fundraising Advisory Committee of high net worth individuals deeply committed to the mission of the Enough Project and willing to assist in fundraising efforts and provide oversight for the development and implementation of the fundraising strategy
- Create all development materials and participate in developing and implementing marketing strategies and materials for outreach to and conservation of donors.
- Research, identify, and cultivate sources of foundation grants
- Assist Enough Project co-Founder John Prendergast, who has long been the principal fundraiser and public face of the project,in cultivating and meeting the needs of celebrity supporters and current private donors to the project
- Support Enough leadership in outreach and cultivation of prospective donors
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with current and potential foundation donors
- Lead all stages of proposal development, submission and grant reporting—including writing and editing—in coordination with Enough Program staff
- Coordinate Enough development activities with the CAP Development team and with CAP finance department and assist the executive team with budget oversight and management
- Hire and supervise Development staff and interns
- Develop and oversee systems and procedures for maintaining accurate and comprehensive donor and prospect information
- Research and implement innovative fundraising strategies using social media, crowd-sourcing, peer-to-peer fundraising ,and other approaches to increase Enough’s brand recognition and expand the individual donor base
- Coordinate regular reviews of Enough’s strategic plans, coordinate and participate in drafting Enough’s annual operating plans, and strengthen internal record keeping systems to aid in tracking progress toward defined objectives and communicating organizational effectiveness to internal and external stakeholders
Requirements and qualifications:
- A demonstrated commitment to human rights, consistent with the vision and mission of the Enough Project is a must
- Five to ten years of fundraising experience. Extensive experience networking with major donors
- Experience cultivating and maintaining relationships with foundations
- Proficiency in researching, writing, reporting, and tracking foundation grants.
- Strong verbal communication skills

Senior Field Researcher — Juba
- Conduct field research, provide analysis, and propose policy initiatives for the relevant actors to help prevent crimes against humanity in Sudan and South Sudan.
- Travel to remote areas to corroborate field reports and information obtained through satellite imagery and provide written reports on the implications of political, security, and humanitarian developments in Sudan and South SUdan, and their policy implications.
- Cultivate a broad network of contacts, including government officials, security forces, diplomats, aid workers, and civil society representatives, to inform Enough’s analysis.
- Draft reports, fields dispatches and other policy documents briefings on a regular basis, drawing from relevant research findings and policy recommendations.
- Provide input on a variety of products—reports, op-eds, articles—pertaining to the crisis in Sudan and South Sudan.·Help facilitate field travel for Enough’s D.C.-based staff and assist media trips as needed.
- Contribute regular content for the Enough blog that is dynamic, original, thoroughly grounded in policy expertise, and accessible to a broad audience.

Policy Associate — Washington, DC
Enough, a project of the Center for American Progress, has an immediate opening for a Policy Associate. The Policy Associate will be responsible for researching the political and conflict dynamics primarily in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and secondarily in areas affected by the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA), analyzing U.S. government, international, and corporate policy related to these conflicts, and contributing to Enough’s strategy papers, reports, and other publications. This is a position requiring research and report-writing experience, strong analytical skills, good interpersonal skills, and a strong understanding of conflicts in central Africa.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct original research primarily on Congo, both in Washington, DC and the field.
- Co-author, author, and edit policy and advocacy reports, memos, and other documents.
- Build relationships with partner organizations, participate in multi-stakeholder fora, and liaise occasionally with officials in the U.S. government, to gather timely – and occasionally, rapid response – information for conflict analysis and report-writing.
- Regularly liaise with field staff and consultants, and work collaboratively to set a research agenda for the Congo and LRA affected areas.
- Represent Enough at Congo and LRA meetings and events, both in and outside Washington, DC.
- Collaborate with advocacy and campaign staff to help shape Congo and LRA campaign messaging and policy recommendations.
- Assist with administrative and organizational tasks for the policy and advocacy team as necessary.

Requirements:

Assistant Editor/Researcher — Washington, DC
The Enough Project, a project of the Center for American Progress, has an immediate opening for an Assistant Editor/Researcher to assist with the publication of policy papers on issues related to the prevention of genocide and mass atrocities in Enough’s priority areas: Sudan, South Sudan, eastern Congo, and the Lord's Resistance Army.
Responsibilities:
- Support the work of the Satellite Sentinel Project involving editing drafts, collecting and formatting satellite images, and posting to the Satellite Sentinel Project website.
- Coordinate content for the Enough blog, including drafting, editing, and posting blog posts.
- Contribute other content to Enough’s website, including podcasts, audio clips, and other appropriate media.
- Copyedit Enough’s written policy products for print and web.
- Maintain the Enough Project and Center for American Progress style guide and grammatical and style standards.
- Draft and edit policy documents.
- Provide general assistance with various research projects and advocacy initiatives.
- Assist the Research Director with administrative and organizational tasks as necessary.
Qualifications and requirements:
